Overview
Hammerite Hammered Direct To Rust Metal Paint, comes in a handy aerosol spray can for easy application. It’s specially formulated to perform as a primer, undercoat and topcoat in one. This product can be applied directly to rust and dries quickly to a subtle hammered effect with a metallic sheen.
Hammerite hammered finish spray paint comes in Black, White and Silver and can be used directly on to metal doors, garden furniture, gates and railings.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, dirt, grease, flaking paint or rust.
- Remove any loose paint and debris with a wire brush.
- Remove dirt and dust with diluted detergent.
- Remove grease with , then rinse with clean water and allow to dry.
- On bare zinc, aluminium and galvanised surfaces, firstly apply .
Application
Before applying Hammerite Hammered Direct To Rust Metal Paint - Aerosol test a small area to ensure you are happy with the colour and finish.
- Spray a test patch of Hammerite Direct to Rust Metal Paint onto painted surfaces and leave for 1 hour.
- If there is no reaction apply Hammerite Direct to Rust Metal Paint directly to surface.
- If there is a reaction remove all paint before applying Hammerite Direct to Rust Metal Paint.
- For best results store the aerosol at room temperature for two hours prior to use.
- Shake can vigorously in a vertical motion, until the agitator ball is heard and continue to shake for a further 3 minutes.
- Spray in light even strokes from a distance of 15cm to avoid runs.
- Do not concentrate spray on one spot.
- Apply at least 3-4 coats for maximum protection.
- Allow 15 minutes between coats .
- Between coats invert can and spray for 2 seconds to avoid blockages.
- Touch dry 15 minutes, recoat after 15 minutes.
